  We recently had our Outlander 2014 (bought new) serviced at Cricks Mitsubishi Maroochydore after moving from Victoria. When I booked in the service, I requested for the MAP to be updated at the 60,000km service. After servicing, they told me upon pick up that they checked my maps but didn't need an update as they were up to date. This is not true. (our map version is 2013 and there is a 2016 version). I had to investigate this further as I knew there was a new map update as my brother has the same model car and just got his done. They told me that they dont get advised when updates are available, which is such a poor excuse given that its their business to provide after care service to these vehicles. It should not be my job to go and research to find out when maps are available for updates.
  
  After much back and forth emailing and proving to them there was an update (After supplying proof of the email from the customer service call center) they then asked me to re book the car in the get the map done. I booked the car in again as advised and get a call a couple of hours in to advise that we were entitled to two free map updates within the first two years, but that has expired so we now have to pay $120, if we want to go ahead with the map update. But as a 'good will' they offered to half the cost and charge us $60. Now this is ridiculous, as firstly, they asked us to return the car to fix, but at no point did they say there was a charge involved. I also think its bad service to not know the products and after service care for the cars they supply. Very poor form, lost all credibility in my view. Stuffed us around and blatantly lied to us. I have since escalated our experience to Mitsubishi Australia who are investigating this matter further. I will be looking for somewhere else to service our cars in the future.
